I am a self taught professional photographer in Coventry and travel around Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
I've been a passionate photographer for over 25 years with a varying range of interests from theatre, stage, fashion and portraits to wildlife and wildflowers. I am also a published photographer and my work has been seen all over the world.
People often ask me what is it that you like so much about photography? I think the essence of photography is all about the interaction of light and shadow and the patterns created on a subject. It always fascinates me how light and shadow can distinguish form, shape, detail, colour, mood and how they can be conveyed in a photograph.
I work mainly with digital cameras these days as I find them much more versatile and easier to work with than film cameras.
More recently I have been doing a lot of work in the area of Theatre Photography and Stage and Perfoming Arts in collaboration with The Albany Theatre in Coventry. I am fortuante to have been made the official photographer for the theatre and enjoy working with a very talented team of individuals. I also have a large studio within the theatre which is suitable for a variety of shoots.
Over the past 25 years I have gained a lot of knowlege and understanding about photography but I never give up trying to find new ways of doing things and am constantly exploring new techniques. This is one of the great things about photography - there is always something new to discover.
I have also started running some small workshop groups on photographing wildflowers. If you're interested in taking part please let me know and I can add you to the mailing list. Workshop groups are usually small, around three to four people but sessions should be running regularly throughout the spring / summer months, so please do let me know if you are interested.
Anyway, thanks for looking at the site, I hope you enjoy it and feel free to drop me a mail.
